Hailing from Santa Rosa, California; Carlo began rock climbing at the age of 14. The local gym, Vertex Climbing Center, became his second home in a matter of months and the supportive community of local climbers inspired him to perfect his abilities both on plastic and rock. Frequent trips to Bishop, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe during his teenage years also played a huge role in sculpting the climber that he is today. Upon turning 18, Carlo ventured east to Boulder, Colorado. Within the last five years, he has continued to progress as a climber, culminating with a 2011 ascent of The Game V15, considered to be one of the hardest boulder problems in the world. Today, Carlo spends as much time possible traveling and experiencing the world, climbing the hardest boulders, producing media, and teaching clinics for Professional Climbers International.View My Website
"Chelsea began climbing in 1998 with her father at a local climbing gym (Atlanta Rocks) in Atlanta, Georgia. She was hooked immediately and joined a youth climbing team and began competing all within the first month. She has since competed in over 100 competitions and has traveled to Europe and Asia to compete at the world level.
2011 IFSC Bouldering World Cup, Vail, CO While Chelsea loves competition, she really enjoys climbing outdoors too. She finds climbing on rock to be peaceful and it helps keep her motivation high. Her favorite type of rock to climb on is sandstone and superb limestone. She also enjoys bouldering on granite in alpine areas.
Chelsea loves teaching kids how to climb and is currently coaching a local climbing team through Movement Climbing + Fitness in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado in December of 2010 and is planning on attending graduate school to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy in about a year. In the mean time though, she will continue to pursue climbing and push her own limits as well as continue to coach."View My Website

I began climbing in my hometown of Maryville, TN. One random day my friend decided to take me to the local climbing gym and instantly I was hooked. I probably spent at least 300 days out of the year in there. Climbing for me since then has become a huge part of my life. It has taught me valuable lessons and without it I don't know where I would be. One of the greatest things I have taken from climbing Is the feeling of giving back. I coach the kids here at our local climbing gym and when I see them progressing it makes me feel great, like I've really done something with my life. To see some kid getting the same satisfaction out of climbing that I initially experienced is out of this world, and all in all this is the real goal.View My Website

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I began climbing in 1999 at the local climbing gym Stone Age. Originally, I became obsessed with the unique movement that climbing offers; it seemed so unpractical yet it felt natural. Since the first day, the pure challenge of working towards something that seemed impossible drove my motivation, yet in the last few years I've recognized other aspects of climbing which are just as inspiring. I appreciate the unique life climbing has given me, the places it has taken me and in the incredible and unique community it has connected me with. My accomplishments are not only the results of my hardwork but the support of a community. I'd like to feel as if I'm known for having a work-hard, alway-try-again, motivated aditude, with never-ending psyche.View My Website

Kevin has been climbing since he was born. At first, it was fences, cupboards, ladders and trees. At age 14, Kevin stepped foot in Vertex Climbing Center and never looked back. Kevin quickly joined the ranks of Team Vertex and began traveling on the youth competition circuit. Kevin stopped competing around 2002 and began to focus entirely on outdoor climbing. Since then, Kevin has gained a reputation for establishing cutting edge highball boulder problems across the globe, from California to Colorado to South Africa. Not limited to highball bouldering, Kevin has climbed several v14 boulder problems. In England, Kevin made headlines by quickly repeating many of the country's most feared and dangerous routes. Most recently, Kevin applied all of his experience and preparation for his most dangerous and memorable first ascent to date, Ambrosia, a 45' 5.14 free solo in Bishop, CA.View My Website

Courtney began climbing after taking a kayaking/rafting trip to the Gauley Festival in West Virginia, where she tried out deep water soloing in 2009. Instantly hooked, she started going to the University of Tennessee climbing gym and making trips to local areas around Knoxville such as Little Rock City, Red River Gorge, and the Obed. Putting her nursing degree aside, she took a break from school to travel the world for rock climbing. She did her first pro competition after 6 months of climbing and still drops in to compete when she is not out on the rocks. With her dedication and passion, she managed to boulder a couple of V10s and lead 13a after only 2 years of climbing. Her best pro result is 2nd and she has bouldered multiple V11s. Now she manages climbing, getting an education, the married life, and yoga and she loves every bit of it!View My Website

Jacinda Hunter, a nurse and mother of four (two boys and two girls), juggles work and parenthood with bouldering V11 and redpointing 14b. She says, “usually when I make up my mind to do something, I get it done.”
Jacinda feels her biggest challenge is being a good parent and good example for her kids. “It’s hard to find time to provide opportunities for their interests and growth, and still have time to indulge in my own passions like climbing.” Jacinda and her husband, Mike, don’t have a TV – instead, the whole family goes on climbing trips together. Breaking the Law, her hardest route, was a “long, cold winter project with the family.” Her latest First Ascent “Fantasy Island” (5.14b) is in American Fork Canyon, Utah.

I’ve been a boulderer and a sport climber for a long time. For the past 4 years, I’ve been attending graduate school at the University of Delaware. Because of the associated time constraints, I have mainly focused on competition climbing in this time. I had my downs, but made up for those with some ups:
1st at the UBC Pro in NYC, a ground-breaking event that took place in Central Park
– 1st at USA Sport Nationals 2012
– 3rd at USA Bouldering Nationals 2013
– 5th at USA Sport Nationals 2013.View My Website
